Allergies & SensitivitiesYour pet's safety and comfort is our primary concern. Owner's pet will provide us with any information about allergies, sensitivities or pre-existing medical condition (s) or any other condition that we need to know about it. |
Health or Medical ProblemsOwners must keep their pets up-to-date on all vaccinations. If for any reason your pet gets sick in our care, the pet's owner assume all liability and responsibility for the full financial expenses in seeking medical attention. Occasionally, grooming can expose a hidden medical problem or aggravate an existing one. |
AccidentsAlthough accidents are very rare, there is an unknown risk when dealing with animals. Grooming equipment is sharp, although we use extreme caution and take great care in all situations, possible problems could occur including cuts, nicks, scratches, minor rashes, quicking of nails, etc.. In most cases this could happen when an animal is agitated, wiggling or moving around. If we see it is a serious situation, and the pet's owner is not on-site, we will immediately seek for veterinary attention. |
Completion TimeEvery effort will be made to keep our scheduled grooms running smoothly. A typical pet groom can take from 2-4 hours PER PET. If your pet has behavioral issues or skin and coat problems, you may experience a longer wait time. It is the owner's pet responsibility to let us know the time pet needs to be returned. We are happy to work with owner's pet as much as possible, we will call the owner's pet for a pick-up as soon as pet is ready. |
Hard to handle and aggressive petWe reserve the right to alter, refuse or charge extra for any grooming in the event that one of our staff members determines it is in the owner's pet best interest, or your pet displays excessive aggressive behavior. A Fur Affair Pet Salon has the right to refuse service to customers and their pets at any time for any reason. Owner's pet will be responsible for any expenses, including medical bills, damages and lost wages if pet bites or injures another person or pet. |
Matted CoatsPets with severely matted coats requires extra time and attention. Mats in an animal's coat grow tight and can ultimately damage and tear their skin, while also providing a breeding ground for parasite infestations. We will not cause serious or undue stress to your pet by de-matting. After-effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions and failure of hair to re-grow. In some cases pets may be experience brief behavioral changes. If your pet requires shaving in order to remove matting, pet's owner will acknowledge and agree to this procedure and any risks associated with. There will be an additional charge for this process. |
